Boxing news: Andy Ruiz Jr helps stranger push broken down car as he continues preparations for Anthony Joshua rematch

Andy Ruiz Jr was forced into action away from training on Sunday, as he came to the rescue of a stranded motorist.

The 260lbs unified heavyweight world champion was filmed pushing a broken down car out of a main road to safety with a friend.

Despite owning three of the four major heavyweight belts, Ruiz Jr had a little trouble keeping his trousers up during the task, but ultimately made it through as another of his pals shouted motivational comments.

The Mexican-American is now six weeks out from his rematch with Anthony Joshua, the man he dethroned on June 1 at MSG in New York.

Following that stunning upset, AJ activated his contractual clause for a second fight and it has since been made official for December 7 in Saudi Arabia.

Much has been made of both men’s physical changes as they ready themselves for this rematch.

Joshua’s slimmed down body transformation is evident, while some are more sceptical about Ruiz Jr’s weight loss.
