Boxing news: Billy Joe Saunders ‘signs with Eddie Hearn’ after amicable split from Frank Warren

Billy Joe Saunders has reportedly signed a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn after an amicable split from Frank Warren.

It was announced last week that the WBO super-middleweight champion was parting ways with the man who has guided his entire career to date, and speculation has since intensified regarding his next move.

Now, according to ESPN, it is finalised that Saunders has inked a deal to team up with Hearn and Matchroom Boxing.

This will see his fight broadcasters now switch from BT Sport to Sky Sports in the UK and ESPN to DAZN in America.

A statement put out by Matchroom on Sunday declared that they would be announcing a major signing at a London press conference on Tuesday.

It now appears very likely that BJS will be that man.

The Brit won the WBO middleweight title in 2015 and held it until vacating amid a drugs test controversy late last year.

He then moved up in weight and picked up the WBO super-middleweight belt to become a two-weight champion, though has now moved on from his promoter to pursue the biggest fights available to him.
